Max Verstappen swept the Friday practice sessions at Barcelona.
In a mostly arm one-hour session, Verstappen paced the field with a time of 1:13.907s. The time was the fastest for the layout of the Spanish Grand Prix which has not been used since 2006.
While Verstappen was well ahead of the competition in FP1, Fernando Alonso was much closer int he second session only 0.170s back.
For fans watching in the United States, they can turn into the third practice Saturday morning at 6:30 am on ESPN before catching qualifying at 10:00 am. The Spanish Grand Prix will air on ESPN beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday.
