The Rays have activated starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow ahead of Saturday afternoon’s game against the Dodgers.

When Glasnow heads to the mound at Tropicana Field he will be making his season debut for the Rays after dealing with a left oblique strain.

Glasnow has dealt with health issues in recent years making just 16 starts since the start of the 2021 season. When he has been on the field Glasnow has proved to be a tough opponent compiling a 5-2 record, 2.57 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and a 133/29 K/BB ratio over 94 2/3 innings of work for an ERA+ of 157.

In order to make room for Glasnow on the roster, the Rays optioned Cooper Criswell to Triple-A.
