The White Sox could welcome back Liam Hendriks next week.
Manager Pedro Grifol told reporters that Hendriks was returning to Chicago on Thursday as the plan plans out the remainder of his rehabilitation.
Pedro Grifol said Liam Hendriks, who pitched last night, will return to Chicago tomorrow, and Sox will map out what the rest of his rehab looks like. Grifol said Hendriks will not pitch for big league team this week. Next week possible, but that hasn’t been figured out yet.

While fans may have been hoping for Hendriks to return this week it seems like the White Sox are going to be a little more conservative and give the 34-year-old some additional time in the minors before a call up closer to the end of the month.
Hendriks announced in January that he had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He completed his final round of chemotherapy in early April.
