Travis d’Arnaud starts minor league rehab assignment

Braves catcher Travis d’Arnaud began a minor league rehab assignment on Friday for Triple-A Gwinnett.

While d’Arnadu was 0-for-3 with a strikeout in the game the Braves will surely see that he was on the field as a step forward from a concussion suffered in early April.

While the Braves and fans will hope that d’Arnaud makes it back quickly it’s worth noting that returns from concussions are always difficult to project.

Without d’Arnaud on the roster the Braves have relied on Sean Murphy primarily as their catcher with Chadwick Tromp giving him the necessary time off.
