Astros acquire pitcher Nick Allgeyer from Phillies

Allgeyer has been pitching at Triple-A this season here he has made four starts compiling a 4.50 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. Now 27 he is two years removed from his one appearance in the majors with Toronto in 2021.

The Astros have lost Luis Garcia and Jose Urquidy to injuries. With Brandon Bielak and J.P. France called up to the big league roster and a few other organizational injuries that left the Astros minor leagues in need of arms.
