Cowboys pick up Brandin Cooks from Texans

The Cowboys have made a trade with the Texans which will add to their wide receiver depth.

Brandin Cooks will head to the Cowboys in exchange for a fifth round pick this season and a sixth round pick next year.

Cooks caught 57 passes last season for 699 yards and three touchdowns. In his career Cooks has topped 1,000 yards six times and five times has recorded six or more touchdowns.

Last season CeeDee Lamb led the Cowboys receiving corps with 107 catches for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Cowboys were in need of options in the passing game as tight end Dalton Schultz who was second with 577 yards is a free agent and Noah Brown has signed with the Texans.
