Kyle Larson is on the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway.
Driving the No. 5 car, Larson will lead the field to the green flag in the United Rentals Work United 500.
The 1-mile low banked tri-oval of Phoenix Raceway will serve as the first race for NASCAR’s 2023 rules package for short ovals and road course events.

On Friday Hendrick Motorsports had the hood louvers of all four of their cars taken following the first practice session. During qualifying 36 cars recorded a timed lap.
Coverage of the race will air on FOX beginning at 3:30 pm ET. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have the radio call.
