Erik Jones to continue to receive sponsorship from Air Force

Legacy Motor Club announced on Saturday that the No. 43 Chevrolet will see the United States Air Force return as a sponsor for driver Erik Jones.

“It’s been an honor to represent the U.S. Air Force the last few years and I’m excited to continue our partnership to have them on our No. 43 Camaro for this season,” said Jones. “I’ve had the opportunity to meet some pretty remarkable Airman the last few seasons and I look forward to meeting many more this year. Our partnership with the Air Force is such a great program to be a part of and I hope we can give them a little excitement this season and a few trips to victory lane.”

The 2023 season marks the 15th season in which the Air Force has sponsored the famed No. 43 showing the partnership can outlast several name changes and reorganization efforts.

“I’m very proud of the program we have built with the U.S. Air Force for the last 15 seasons on the No. 43,” said Legacy Motor Club ambassador Richard Petty. “I’ve had the honor to meet many men and women who are serving over the years and it’s great to see their association with our team be successful both on and off the track.”

As part of the partnership, the Air Force will use an at-track presence to recruit future Airmen.

“I have so much respect for the military as both my grandfathers have served,” said team co-owner Johnson. “The relationship we have with the U.S. Air Force is something I am very proud of as a new team owner, and Erik and the No. 43 team will be very competitive this season. I’ve had some very close ties with military sponsors and organizations in the past, and we will do everything we can to help the U.S. Air Force meet their goals both on and off the track.”
