With Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot set to join NASCAR leaders for an announcement today, signs are pointing to news about the Chicago street race.
The announcement is set to take place at 3:30 pm ET/2:30 pm CT.
If Chicago does indeed get an event the next question becomes which track will lose one. Road America does not have a deal in place for the 2023 season. Chicago is a tad under three hours away from Elkhart Lake and the removal of a road course for a street course makes it a likely candidate.
