The New York Mets are reportedly discussing starting Jacob deGrom’s rehab on Sunday with a stint with Single-A Lucie according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

deGrom has thrown bullpen sessions and live batting practice and appears set for the next step as he tires to come back from a stress reaction in his scapula.

The Mets could welcome deGrom back to the big leagues by the end of July. Last season deGrom made 15 starts and compiled a 1.08 ERA and a 0.55 WHIP across 92 innings of work.

deGrom threw batting practice on Wednesday throwing 20 pitches.
