Rodney Childers tweeted on Sunday that he had re-signed with Stewart-Haas Racing.
The news from Childers came a day after the No. 4 car driven be Kevin Harvick nearly won at Bristol Motor Speedway. Harvick and Childers may not have a win this year but they remain in the playoff hunt.
Been thinking all day, there is always a lot of things I could complain about. But I’m really fortunate. This past Wednesday I was able to re-sign with @StewartHaasRcng for years to come. Then a few days later almost went to victory lane. Then today enjoyed my family. ❤️

Childers took over as the crew chief of Harvick beginning with the 2014 season. Since that time Harvick has won 35 races and the 2014 Cup Series title. The duo won a career best nine races in 2020.
Prior to joining Stewart Haas Racing, Childers served in the same role at Michael Waltrip Racing. In addition to the wins with Harvick, Childers has also went to victory lane with David Reutimann and Brian Vickers.
