Justin Allgaier, Precision Tank with Tampa Tank-Florida partner for Darlington

Justin Allgaier’s No. 7 Chevy will have a new look when the NASCAR Xfinity Series returns to competition at Darlington Raceway on Tuesday, May 19. The JR Motorsports Camaro will commemorate the combination of team partner Precision Tank Inc. with Tampa Tank, Inc.-Florida Structural Steel, which together provide storage, structural steel and service solutions for domestic and international markets.

The “Racing Together” themed paint scheme features a steel gray, red and black design and highlights the newly-formed Precision Build Companies, LLC, which will be headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The integration, which was announced on May 1, will be completed over the next 24 months.

“We’ve been looking forward to putting this car on the track for a couple of months now,” said David Hale, CEO of TTI-FSS. “This is a great way to celebrate the closing of the business transaction and to bring our employees from both companies together.”

Allgaier has strong stats at Darlington Raceway. In nine NXS starts at Darlington, the Illinois native has two top fives and six top 10s with 31 laps led. Last season, Allgaier started fourth and ran as high as second at the historic track, coming home with a ninth-place finish.

“I am proud to be part of one of the first public celebrations of the combination of Precision Tank and Tampa Tank-Florida Structural Steel and show off the new company logo of Precision Build,” said Allgaier. “I know it’s taken a lot of hard work for this to come together and we want to do what we can to get a strong finish for all of the employees who will be watching on TV.”

Through four events completed so far in the 2020 season, Allgaier has led a series-high 140 laps and currently sits ninth in the NXS point standings.

“I’m excited to get back to the track, even if it means racing in front of empty bleachers,” said Rick Brandt, CEO of BRANDT and chair of the Precision Build board of managers. “We’ve been using NASCAR at BRANDT as a business tool for ten years now and I’m always thrilled to introduce a new company to the marketing power of NASCAR and JR Motorsports.”

Fans can tune in to the Darlington NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Tuesday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
