Indians add pair of veteran relief pitchers

The Indians have added a pair of right handed relief pitchers to their organization. Neil Ramirez and Evan Marshall have both been given minor league deals with invitations to Spring Training.

Ramirez, 28, pitched for both the Mets and Giants in 2017 compiling a 7.18 ERA and 1.79 WHIP across 31 1/3 innings of work. It is doubtful that he makes the team out of spring training but could be used as minor league depth and could perhaps see time later in the year.

The 2017 season was not any better for Marshall. He allowed eight runs in just 7 2/3 innings of work for the Mariners. He holds a 4.94 ERA across 91 big league games over the last four seasons. His best year came back in 2014 for the Diamondbacks when he held a 2.74 ERA in 57 games.
