Outfielder Jaff Decker has signed a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays. The 25-year-old Decker saw 28 at-bats at the big league level last season with the Pittsburgh Pirates hitting .214./.372/.321 with eight runs scored.
Much of last season Decker was stashed at Triple-A by the Pirateswhere he hit .266/.370/.362 with three homers and 18 steals.
The Rays could use Decker and his career .393 minor league on base percentage for a bench spot this season.
