The New York Mets added some depth to their organizational roster on Monday signing three players.

Buddy Carlyle who will turn 38 in a week has been re-signed by the club and extended an invitation to spring training. Carlyle dealt with a hip injury last year which kept him sidelined after May. In 11 games he had a 5.63 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. He also spent the 2014 season with the Mets and will be viewed as depth going forward.

Another pitcher signed by the Mets was left hander Duane Below. Last year he made one appearance for the Yokohama Bay Stars. He has not appeared in a major league game since 2013.

Marc Krauss was also signed by the Mets. He played for the Los Angles Angels, Tampa Bay Rays and Detroit Tigers last season. He produced a ugly .141/.173/.256 line over 81 plate appearances but will go to spring training eye a spot on the Mets bench.
