The NFL has suspended free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw for one game for his violation of the substance-abuse policy.

Bradshaw spent last season with the Indianapolis Colts before suffering a fractured fibula in Week 11. He was cited for marijuana possession in February and much like LeGarrett Blount has been suspended for the start of the NFL season.

With Bradshaw’s injury history there will not be a large number of teams looking to sign the 29-year-old even at the minimum.

In 10 games last season Bradshaw ran for 425 yards on 90 carries (4.7 average) while adding two touchdowns. He has also proven to be effective as a receiver out of the backfield during his career last year catching a career best six touchdowns on 38 receptions.
