Chris Perez will look for another place to pitch after opting out of his minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Perez, 29, was released and then resigned with the Brewers at the end of spring training. He had hoped to work his way to the big league level but allowed eight runs and 14 hits in just 7 2/3 innings at Triple-A Colorado Springs. Now he takes his act elsewhere.

A two-time All-Star, Perez ppeareed in 49 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers last season posting a 4.27 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. Any team looking to sign him will do so on a minor league contract.
In parts of seven big league seasons he has a careeer 3.51 ERA, 1.24 WHIP while picking up 133 saves.
