Fans of the Detroit Tigers will notice something different this Opening Day. Left handed David Price will be on the mound for the Tigers snapping a seven year run that saw Justin Verlander start on Opening Day.
Price is coming ff a fine season in which he split time between the Tampa Bay Rays and Tigers finishing with 3.26 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP across 248 1/3 innings of work. Set to hit free agency at the end of the season, Price will be looking to snag another a big payday after earning $19.75 million this season.

Verlander is coming off a down season in which he was 15-12 with a 4.54 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 206 innings.
