The Colts will continue to trot running back Dan Herron out as their starter in place of Trent Richardson.
Herron has grown a small following due to his “Boom” nickname and the fact that he is someone not named Trent Richardson.
Numerous Colts beat writers say that Herron will be given the start while head coach Chuck Pagano only said he “may” start on Sunday against the Redskins.
Last week against the Jaguars Herron split reps with Richardson. Herron totaled 65 yards on 12 carries and added another five catches for 31 yards.
Richardson insisted he did not start last week as he was recovering from the flu. He was given 13 carries against the Jaguars but managed just 42 yards but he did score a touchdown.
