With quarterback Ryan Mallett done for the season the Houston Texans have added Thad Lewis to their roster.
Lewis will be the Texans No. 3 quarterback meaning he may not necessarily be active on game day, especially if rookie Tom Savage proves that he is capable.
The Texans have reached the bottom of the barrel here as Lewis was absolutely dreadful this preseason while with the Buffalo Bills.
Lewis finished the 2013 season by appearing in six games completing 59.2-percent of his passes for 1092 yards and four touchdowns while throwing three interceptions.
The Texans will hope that they do not need to turn to Lewis at any point this year. Whether or not the Texans give the keys to the offense back to Ryan Fitzpatrick or move on to Savage is the bigger question.
