The Orioles have landed free agent infielder Rey Navarro to a minor league contract pending a physical.
On Friday it was reported that the 24-year-old Navrro and the Orioles were close to a contract so it is not a surprise that the team got a deal worked out.
In Navarro the Orioles got a defensively sound shortstop who hit .282/.343/.435 this past year while in the Reds minor league system. He should have a decent chance of landing a spot on the Orioles bench this spring.
