Prior to a poor performance against the New York Jets last Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers met Justin Bieber.
Naturally people began to link the 20-13 loss to the presence of Bieber. However, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wants everyone to move on already.
“(Justin Bieber) is one of the more popular guys for good or for bad in the country, so (my teammates) had a chance to say hello and they did.” said Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger’s comments are in stark contrast to Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw who told TMZ he would not have allowed Bieber into the team’s bible study and that those not connected to the team rarely were allowed into services while he quarterbacked the team.

Bradshw last played in 1983. Times have changed since then with athletes becoming as big of celebrities as singers like Bieber while team functions regularly cater to outsiders.
“That’s not a big deal at all,” Roethlisberger said on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. “For instance [former Steelers wide receiver] Plaxico Burress stopped by. Obviously he’s family, but people stop by all of the time and say, ‘Hi,’ and we’ve had other athletes, actors, celebrities, stuff like that stop by. It’s not a big deal at all.”
Roethlisberger said he did not get a chance to meet Bieber.
