Following a flag for the use of “inappropriate language,” 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is denying that he said anything offensive.
Kapernick threw a crucial fourth quarter interception against the Bears on Sunday night after which he had a verbal altercation with defensive end Lamar Houston. A few moments later a flag was thrown.
While speaking to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News, Kaepernick denied using any slur and answered “yes” when asked if he was surprised a flag was thrown.
The Bears went on to intercept another Kaepnernick pass later in the game and prevailed with a 28-20 win in the regular season opener at Levis Stadium.
