The Detroit Tigers figure to have Justin Verlander on the mound this Saturday night against Minnesota.
Verlander threw 35 pitches Thursday morning without problem. He then visited Tigers manager Brad Ausmus’ office and gave him a high five.
Looks like it's a go for Verlander on Saturday. Threw a 35-pitch bullpen today, and then walked into Ausmus' office to deliver a high five.

Verlander left his last start on Aug. 11 at Pittsburgh with shoulder soreness afer throwing just one inning allowing five runs – four earned.
On the season Verlander has been shaky sporting a 4.76 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 158 2/3 innings this season.
