The announcement of Carl Edwards joining Joe Gibbs Racing will take place on Tuesday morning.
Edwards will join JGR in a fourth car with the No. 19 on it. Arris, a communication technology company, will sponsor Edwards’ Toyota Camry in roughly half of the 36 races next season reports the Charlotte Observer.
JGR is also expected to announce the signing of Daniel Suarez to compete in the Nationwide Series next season. No announcement regarding the future of part-time Nationwide Series drive Sam Hornish is expected.
In 23 starts this season Edwards has scored two wins and nine finishes inside the top ten. He currently ranks ninth in the Sprint Cup Series points. Edwards has 23 career wins in the Cup Series.
