Dakoda Armstrong won the pole for Friday nights NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway.
The driver of the No.43 Ford Mustang was the fastest during qualifying and will lead a field of 40 cars to the green flag for the start of the Subway Firecracker 250 at the 2.5-mile Daytona track. Rain forced qualifying to be shorted to just over 17 minutes of the first round.,
Coverage of the race will air on ESPN beginning at 7:30 pm ET with the green flag set to wave at 7:46 pm ET. The event will consist of 100 laps making up 250 miles.
Matt Kenseth won this race a year ago. Regan Smith won the season opening Nationwide Series race in February. And your useless stat is that both drivers started 19th.
Dibenedetto, Chastain, Lagasse, Koch, B.Gordon, Richardson, Bliss, Nemechek, and McClure were all involved in a crash during qualifying.
