Miami Marlins catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia is still dealing with the effects of a concussion suffered last Saturday.

While Saltalamacchia is able to come off the 7-day concussion disabled list on Sunday it is looking doubtful that he will.

“It could go to the 15-day disabled list, but I don’t know for sure,” Marlins manager Mike Redmond said via the Miami Herald. “He needs to make sure he’s symptom free. When I say that, I mean headache-free, dizzy-free. … As of right now, he’s still resting.”

With Saltalamacchia out the Marlins will continue to use Jeff Mathis and J.T. Realmuto behind the plate.

Redmond is also unsure of when recently signed relief pitcher Kevin Gregg could join the club. Gregg picked up 33 saves with the Chicago Cubs a season ago but right now the plan is for him to set-up Steve Cishek.
