Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Jonny Venters will throw off the mound for the first time on Sunday.
The elbow soreness Venters had been experiencing is gone and ideally the left hander will began throwing to batters sometime next week.

While there is no timetable for Venters return any contributions he gives the Braves this season has to be considered a plus.
Venters, 29, last pitched in 2012. In 230 career games he has a 2.23 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.
