Carl Edwards will start on the pole for Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Drivers took three laps with a pit stop around the 1.5-mile track located in Concord, NC just miles away from most of the teams shops.
Nineteen drivers earned their way into this race with wins in 2013 or 2014 or from a past champions provisional. Clint Bowyer and AJ Allmendinger earned their way into the All-Star race via their finishes in the Sprint Showdown while Josh Wise was the fan vote winner.
Coverage of the Sprint All-Star race will get underway shortly after 9:00 pm ET on FOX Sports 1. It will consist of five segments. (20 laps, 20 laps, 20 laps, 20 laps, 10 laps) The winner of the All-Star race will earn over $1 million.
The first three segments will be 20 laps each which will be followed by an optional pit-stop before segment four which will also be 20 laps. Before the start of the fifth and final segment there will be a required pitstop for all teams. The fifth segment will be 10 laps with only green flag laps counting.
