Sam Hornish Jr. will lead field of 40 cars to the green flag on Saturday afternoon after setting the fast time in qualifying. Coverage of the Aaron’s 312 will take place on ESPN beginning at 3:00 pm ET with the green flag set to drop around 3:25 pm ET.
Saturday’s race will be 117 laps or 311.2 miles around the 2.66-mile short track located in Talladega, AL. Regan Smith was the winner of this race a season ago.
Currently Chase Elliott holds a 19 point lead over Smith in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings.
