The Toronto Blue Jays could be without Maicer Izturis for the rest of the season.
Izturis, 33, had been taking starts away from Ryan Goins in recent days but all that came to a halt after he tripped down the dugout stairs in Sunday’s game against Baltimore.
#BlueJays infielder Maicer Izturis expected to miss 4-6 months with ligament tear in knee. Will get second opinion before surgery set.

While Izturis is going to get a second opinion on his left knee things are doubtful to change. Izturis said he felt a pop in his knee after the incident.
Needless to say, Goins will now be the clear favorite for starts at second for the Blue Jays.
In 11 games thi seaosn Izturis was hitting .286 with three runs scored.
