Reggie Wayne says he is ahead of schedule and expects to gain clearance by the Indianapolis Colts soon.
Wayne is working his way back from an October surgery to repair a torn ACL.ry to repair a torn ACL.
Appearing on 1260 WNDE in Indianapolis, Wayne said Tuesday that he expects the Colts to clear him for football activities on April 25.
“I’m way ahead of schedule,” Wayne said on the program, transcribed by NFL.com. “I feel great.”
Wayne, 35, believes he will be ready for training camp in late July. The return of Wayne and the addition of Hakeem Nicks should give the Colts another option in the passing game opposite of T.Y. Hilton.
