Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was arrested this weekend after allegedly being in a physical altercation with his fiancee at a Atlantic City casino.

The Baltimore Sun reports that Rice’s attorney has confirmed that the running back was charged and released for a “very minor physical altercation” with his fiancee at the Revel Casino.

Rice, 27, is coming off a rough 2013 season in which he rushed for just 660 yards rushing (3.1 average) with four touchdowns.

The Ravens are aware of the situation involving Rice who has been one of the teams most popular players since being drafted in 2008. In 2012 he signed a five-year extension worth $35 million but the Ravens have made statements that they play to employ two running backs in 2014.
