Mike Williams was fined more than $200,000 for being late or missing scheduled rehab following his torn hamstring in Week 8 according to Pewter Report.

Former Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano and general manager Mark Dominik were concerned with the “immature and unprofessional” work ethic of the wide receiver.

Tampa Bay signed Williams to a six-year deal worth $40.25 million last July but could cut ties with him before the 2014 season starts as he will count just $1.8 million against the salary cap.

Of course the Buccaneers parted ways with Schiano and Dominik at the end of the season so Williams will get a fresh slate with new coach Lovie Smith.

Williams appeared in six games in 2013 recording 22 catches for 216 yards and two touchdowns. His rookie campain of 2010 which he record 65 catches for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns remains his career highlight.
