Lance Berkman has retired from baseball.
Berkman, 37, spent 15 seasons at the big league level between Houston, New York, St. Louis and Texas.
There was plenty of speculation that Berkman would retire prior to last season but he ended up playing in 73 games hitting .242/.340/.359 with six home runs and 34 RBI with the Rangers.
Berkman will end his career with a .293/.406/.537 line with 366 home runs and 1234 RBI. There will be some talk about his hall of fame credentials but its more likely that the six time All-Star is left out. Best known for his days with the Astros, Berkman earned his World Series ring with the Cardinals in 2011.
