The Colorado Rockies have signed infielder Paul Janish to a minor league contract. Janish, 31, will receive an invitation to spring training.
Janish will be competing for a bench spot in Colorado. He will be doing it solely with his glove as he has done little with a bat in his career.

Janish began playing at the big league level with the Cincinnati Reds in 2008. He joined the Atlanta Braves. In 2013 he appeared in 52 games compiling a .171/.222/.442 line with two RBI and seven runs scored.
Primarily used at shortstop, Janish has also seen playing time at second base and third base.
