Johnny Manziel is now climbing up the draft charts. Some fans hope that the Houston Texans will choose to keep the quarterback in Texas.

A billboard and website campaign have been set up to encourage the Texans to draft the former Texas A&M quarterback.

Tony Buzbee, a Texas A&M regent, has set up the website www.draftjohnnymanziel.com as well as put up a billboard in the Houston area. He hopes that the Texans will take note and draft Manziel urging them to “Keep Johnny Football in Texas!”

The last time the Texans had the first overall pick they passed on Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young and drafted Mario Williams.

According to the Galveston Daily News, Buzbee is an attorney and neighbor of Texans owner Bob McNair.

Buzbee rose to fame earlier this year when he purchased a license plate which read “12THMAN” for $115,000 with plans to donate it to a service member.
