Veteran NASCAR race car driver Dave Blaney will be back in the Sprint Cup Series this season, driving the No. 77 Ford Fusion for Randy Humphrey, according to FOXSports.com

Blaney lost his ride with Tommy Baldwin Racing at the end of the 2013 season when the team hired Michael Annett who brought sponsorship from Pilot/Flying J to the team.

According to the report, Peter Sospenzo will oversee the operation and the ride will be full-season.

“We dealt with each other at Front Row (Motorsports),” Blaney told FOX Sports. “I always liked him, but we never raced together before.

“Obviously, it helps that we’ll have Doug Yates engines and picked up some really nice cars that Casey Mears drove before Germain switched to Chevys. So we’re off to. Good start.”

Blaney has 466 career Sprint Cup starts. His single win in NASCAR came at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a Nationwide race in the Fall of 2006.
