Rex Ryan will indeed remain with the New York Jets for the 2014 season.
Speaking to reporters following the Jets Week 17 win over the Miami Dolphins owner Woody Johnson said that Ryan would return. He told reporters that Ryan knew his fate prior to today’s game.
Woody said #Jets decided to keep Rex before these last couple of games, but won't reveal exact timeline.

There had been reports in recent days that Ryan was likely to stay with the Jets. Under Ryan the Jets managed an 8-8 record despite a roster devoid of talent and starting an inconsistent first year quarterback in Geno Smith.
