The Kansas City Royals have beaten out the New York Yankees for the services of Omar Infante.
On Friday the Royals reached a four-year deal with the 31-year-old Infante worth $30 million.
Last season Infante hit .318/.345/.450 with 10 home runs and 51 RBI in 118 games for the Tigers. He will be a significant upgrade for the Royals at second base.
Infante and the Royals have agreed to terms on that four-year deal mentioned before.

It is unclear what the Yankees intentions are for second base after losing out on Robinson Cano and now Infante. Earlier this winter they signed Kelly Johnson but he is expected to serve in a utility role.
