The Kansas City Royals have rewarded manager Ned Yost with a contract extension. Yost guided the Royals to a 86-76 record, their best finish since 1989.
Yost’s current contract was set to expire so the new deal keeps him around though 2015.

Yost has managed the last four seasons with the Royals compiling a 284-329 record. After a successful 2013 season the expectations will be raised in Kansas City next season.
