Brian Cashman is set to meet with the agent of Joe Girardi on Wednesday. The Yankees are hoping to keep Girardi as their manager but will have to make it worth his time.
The Chicago Cubs have been linked to Girardi for a couple of years now and the talent laden Washington Nationals are also seeking a manager after the retirement of Davey Johnson.
Cashman met with Girardi on Monday. Plans to meet with his agent on Wednesday. Wouldn’t say if the Cubs had asked permission to talk to JG.
