The San Francisco 49ers have interest in veteran quarterback Seneca Wallace.

Wallace is expected to visit the 49ers according to CSNBayArea.com.

The 49ers have a mix of quarterbacks behind starter Colin Kaepernick. There appears to be no clear cut No. 2 on the depth cart but Colt McCoy is expected to relieve Karpernick in Sunday’s preseason game against Minnesota.

Wallace, 33, was cut this week by the New Orleans Saints. He did not play during the 2012 season after being cut by the Cleveland Browns in training camp. Wallace has appeared in 62 games, including 21 starts.

It is hard to imagine Wallace making an impact with the 49ers this season but then again he has about as much of a chance as anyone below Kaepernick on the depth chart.
