The San Francisco Giants have signed left handed pitcher Ted Lilly to a contract.
Lilly, 37, was let go by the Los Angeles Dodgers this past weekend after compiling a 5.09 ERA in 23 innings of work.
Under the terms of Lilly’s contract he will make a start for Triple-A Fresno after which the Giants will make a decision on his future.

Lilly has appeared in 356 big league games compiling a 4.14 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP.
The news that the Giants signed Lilly is a bit surprising considering they are expected to activate Ryan Vogelson on Friday and are 11 games under .500 this year.
