Caleb Moore wrecked his snowmobile on the first day of the 2013 Winter X Games in Aspen Colorado. It was widely reported that Moore walked away from the incident unscathed.
Last night doctors noticed internal bleeding around Moore’s heart which required emergency surgery.
Moore was airlifted to Grand Junction where he underwent the surgery. The New York Times reports he suffered a heart contusion and was in the intensive-care unit.
