The Virginia Tech Hokies wore special turkey themed helmets for Saturdays game against Boston College.
While one side of the helmet featured a number the other featured a turkey.
Aided by Logan Thomas who threw for two touchdowns — the second a 7-yarder to Randall Dunn in overtime — and ran for another the Hokies were able to hold off the Eagles and escape with a 30-23 overtime win.
The Hokies (5-6, 3-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) need to beat rival Virginia at home next Saturday to become bowl-eligible for the 20th straight season.
