The Pittsburgh Steelers have concern about the throwing shoulder of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger was injured in the third quarter of Monday nights game between the Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs.

After being checked at the stadium, Roethlisberger went to the hospital Monday night for an MRI on his right shoulder.

The injury occurred when Roethlisberger was sacked by the Chiefs’ Justin Houston on Pittsburgh’s first possession of the second half.

According to ESPN the initial reports show a sprain but another source claims that doctors want Roethlisberger to undergo further evaluation.

This puts the status of Roethlisberger in question before the Steelers upcoming game against rival Baltimore. They Steelers will play Baltimore two times in the next three weeks.

Bryon Leftwich replaced Roethlisberger in Monday nights game. He finished 7-of-14 for 73 yards.  The Steelers also have Charlie Batch on the roster.

Pittsburgh moved to 6-3 on the season with their fourth consecutive win.
