Jeremy Bonderman may not have thrown his last pitch in the majors. The now 30-year-old right hander has not pitched since 2010 after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
Bonderman is intent on pursuing a comeback. An eight year veteran, Bonderman has only pitched for the Detroit Tigers during his major league career.
The deal for Bonderman is likely non-guaranteed and may require him to work his way onto the team from the minor league level.
During his career Bonderman is 67-77 with a 4.89 ERA.
While the Tigers may lose Anibal Sanchez do not expect Bonderman to be a contender for his rotation spot. Sanchez is seeking a six or seven year deal in the price range of $90-100 million. It is believed that the Red Sox, Blue Jays and Dodgers all share interest in Sanchez.
