Joey Logano, driver of the No.18 GameStop Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series won the pole for this afternoons Kansas Lottery 300.
Logano scored his 21st career pole, fifth of the 2012 NNS.
Logano has dominated in Nationwide this season, winning eight races and may be on his way to his ninth. He has two career victories at Kansas Speedway. It goes to say that Kansas was repaved but that didn’t seem to affect Logano’s efforts during qualifying when he ran his fast lap of 182.914.
Austin Dillion will start second, followed by Brian Scott, Kenny Wallace and Paul Menard.
Current points leader Elliott Sadler is starting in 7th position, as Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sits right in his rear view mirror only -13 points behind, starting in 10th today.
