Cale Gale helps paint Martinsville curbs pink

The infamous curbs of Martinsville Speedway will be pink again this year. NASCAR driver Cale Gale helped by lending a hand as the track raises awareness for breast cancer.

On Thursday October 11, NASCAR Truck Series Driver Cale Gale helped breast cancer survivors paint the curbs pink at the smalled track on the schedule.

“To come up here and obviously have the curves in Martinsville, working with Rheem to have it is going to be that much more special,” Gale said.”It gives you that little bit of extra drive when you strap in.”

“This is just helping all of us survivors know that we don’t have any fear because if it comes back, and we hope it doesn’t, we won’t have to worry about it anymore,” said breast cancer survivor Carole McGovern.

Gale will compete in the Camping World Truck Series race at the track on October 27 driving a pink truck. He also drove a pink truck at Talladega. The 27 year-old Gale is currently 12th in the overall driver standings.
